Exclusive full interview for Silver, Gold, and Platinum level supporters. Jon Tyson, pastor of Church of the City New York and author of The Intentional Father and Fighting Shadows: Overcoming 7 Lies That Keep Men From Becoming Fully Alive, joins me to explore the crisis of masculinity and the search for identity among young men today.
What does it mean to become a man in the modern world, and how does Jesus provide a better model of masculinity than we find in ‘The Manosphere’?
A very special bonus episode, also exclusively for Silver & God level supporters! Belle Tindall-Riley and I interview author and theologian Kathy Keller, wife of the late Tim Keller who founded and lead Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York and was a prolific writer, speaker, and intellectual influence in Western Christianity.
We cover so much over the course of our hour together, including: Kathy’s correspondence with CS Lewis as a child, her marriage to Tim, how she’s living with his death, and her project to posthumously publish Tim’s book What Is Wrong With The World?
She also takes me on in a mini-debate about the roles of men and women in marriage, and speaks candidly on why critics of what became known as Tim’s ‘winsome approach’ are “clueless” about the challenges they faced when founding their church in New York City!
Why are so many Premier League players wearing their faith on their sports sleeve? We chart the rise of the Christian footballers in this documentary episode.
Speaking to John Bostock of Ballers In God, I investigate the new awakening among Arsenal's 'Bible Brothers' - including Saka, Eze & Timber, plus players across other top teams - Joel Ward, Gabriel Jesus, Ben Gannon-Doak, Maxence Lacroix, Antoine Semenyo & Mark Guehi.
Joe Lowther of Sports charity KICK, and Martin Saunders of Youthscape also offer their thoughts on how the surprising rebirth of faith among footballers is impacting the wider culture.
